GOODBYE HEARTBREAK, HELLO HEALING, Healing Broken Hearts, Empowering Women, Scriptural Healing, Find Your Love, Single Women, Christian Singles

Do you feel heartbroken over a recent breakup? Did you think he was “the one”, but it turned out to be another failed relationship? Are you feeling like you’ll never find “the one” for you? Do you wish God would just bring the right man along so you can be happy? In this podcast I will share my journey of looking for love in all the wrong places to finally finding the true love I needed and how that led to me getting into the right position to be married. I had a lot of work to do in my single season. When I finally put God first in my life and truly gave Him my heart, I became content as a single woman. Then, and only then was I ready for marriage. I will share all my tips and insight on healing and moving on after painful breakups, growing close to God during heartbreak, and how to get into position to have the deepest desires of your heart (i.e., marriage, children, etc.). If you’re ready to ditch that broken heart for healing and wholeness, you’re in the right place. Hey Sis! I’m Kandice–a faith-led wife and mother of 3. I’m carrying out the call God placed on my life by helping women heal and move forward after breakups. While I love my life now, this wasn’t always the case. I remember being single, thriving in my career as a school psychologist, and faking a smile everyday. People thought I had it all together on the outside, but inside I had a broken heart and was unfulfilled with my life. The cycle of failed relationships began to make me have thoughts like, “What’s wrong with me?” and “Why am I not enough?” I desperately wanted to find the right man for me and get married. So I went from relationship to relationship; but instead of finding my soulmate with whom I would spend the rest of my life, I found disappointment and more heartbreak. Then, in 2015, my heart was shattered, and I knew something had to change. I finally realized that if I was ever going to truly heal my heart and be fulfilled, I was going to have to partner with God in the healing process. Through healing and connection with God, I finally felt whole and complete. I learned the proper way to heal and grow my relationship with God, and I want to help you do the same. Plus I have tips to help you get ready for future relationships, so when the right one comes along, you’ll be complete and lacking nothing. If you are ready to finally heal your heart, stop going from failed relationship to failed relationship, and grow your relationship with God in the midst of it, all while becoming the woman you want to be who is ready when the right man comes along–this is definitely the podcast for you. Sis, kick off those cute shoes that’s been hurting your feet all day and turn me up in those earbuds, we’re about to get into it! Hey!
Do you struggle with guilt or shame or both? If so, this episode is for you. I have a great guest today to really walk us through the difference between guilt and shame.
As Christian women we sometimes suffer from guilt and shame more than others because we feel more conviction when we do things that are not of God. While conviction in a good thing to help us correct our behaviors, God doesn’t want us to constantly live under the weight of our sin.
Jessica tells us about her experiences in relationships when trying to conform to the image that would make guys love her. Then, she accepted Jesus and slowly took the journey of seeking God and renewing her mind.
A little about Jessica:  Jessica Hottle is a faith-based fitness coach, podcast host, best-selling author, and speaker with a heart for teaching Christian women how to honor their feelings and heal from their hurt from a Biblical perspective. She is the author of 4 books with her new book being Face Off with Your Feelings: Break Up with the Lies From Your Past and Embrace the Truth for Your Future. Jessica is the host of From Head to Heart, a show where she teaches women how to trust God, heal emotionally, and Grow their relationship with Him. When she isn’t writing, speaking, or coaching you can find her enjoying time with her husband Jon, loving on their three cats, and spending her free time outside whenever she can (playing golf, hiking, reading, or writing in her journal).

Hey Sis!
The book is officially out into the world, and people have received their copies. But don’t worry, I’m still bringing you more goodness from the book here on the podcast. I’m still reading excerpts every Monday in the month of October.
Today’s excerpt talks about the power God brings to our lives when we simply let Him be the big God that He is. The scripture reference is Numbers 23:19 (NIV).
We serve a powerful God! But sometimes we diminish His power in our lives simply because we don't view Him correctly. Many of us often tend to view God as a human being instead of the most powerful being ever! When we take God out of the box we have placed Him in and give Him room to really flex and show off, we get to see Him do amazing things in our lives. If you’re tired of living a status quo life and you’re ready for God to show out in your life, take a quick listen to today’s devotion!
If you enjoyed the content from this minisode, be sure to grab a copy of my book:
Goodbye Heartbreak, Hello Purpose: A 365 Day Devotional to Journey through Emotional Healing, Spiritual Growth, and Purpose from my website www.kandiceabateast.com. Hey Sis!
So, we had to push back the book release date a little, but no worries. That just means there’s more time for you to get the goods. In honor of the new October 10th book launch, I will be reading excerpts from the book every Monday in the Month of October, right here on the Podcast.
Today’s excerpt talks about how having a broken heart can cause us to be weary and burdened. The scripture reference is Matthew 11:28-30 (HCSB).
Heartbreak is heavy, and when it happens, we feel that weight day after day. I’m so glad that Jesus invites us to bring our heavy burdens to Him in exchange for His rest. Having rest in the midst of a difficult season is priceless! Go to Jesus, Sis! He’s waiting for you!

037. Minisode: A Red Sea Moment

Wednesday Sep 28, 2022

Wednesday Sep 28, 2022

Hey Sis!
In honor of my October 1st book launch, I will be reading excerpts from the book every Monday and Wednesday in the month of September, right here on the Podcast.
Today’s excerpt talks about allowing God to work in your life during this season of heartbreak. The scripture reference is Exodus 14:21-22 (NIV).
I have a few devotions in this book that I particularly enjoyed writing, and everytime I read them, I get chills. God is such a big God, and I love to see the instances in the Bible when He showed off. However, I also love to see the instances in my own life where He showed off, those Red Sea moments.
I want you to be able to recognize those Red Sea moments in your life too. If you feel stuck, confused, overwhelmed, or not sure how you’re going to make it, look at this moment as an opportunity for God to flex his muscles and show just how big He is. Be encouraged, Sis! This is your moment!

Hey Sis!
Today we’re touching on a subject that I haven’t touched on much just yet, and that’s forgiveness. You don’t have to tell me. I know you don’t want to forgive him. You feel like you can’t forgive him. You may even think he doesn’t deserve your forgiveness. And guess what…you may be right!
Still, forgiveness is necessary. People say a lot of things forgiveness, but today, I’m breaking it down to 3 simple reasons why you need to forgive your ex. I also offer some perspective for you to take if this is really difficult for you.
As a bonus, I give you a declaration at the end for you to recite to help you in this forgiveness journey, so be sure to listen until the end.
So turn me up in those earbuds sis! It’s time to heal!
If you like this topic, I dig into each one of these reasons in 3 different devotions in my book Goodbye Heartbreak, Hello Purpose: A 365 Day Devotional to Journey through Emotional Healing, Spiritual Growth, and Purpose. Grab your copy from my website www.kandiceabateast.com. Pre Order your copy today, and you can get a 25% discount when you use the code “PREORDER”. 035. Minisode: Doubting God

Monday Sep 26, 2022

Monday Sep 26, 2022

Hey Sis!
In honor of my October 1st book launch, I will be reading excerpts from the book every Monday and Wednesday in the month of September, right here on the Podcast.
Today’s excerpt talks about what happens when we doubt God. The scripture reference is Mark 9:24 (NLT).
Today’s scripture is one I have cried out plenty of times. We all struggle with doubting God from time to time, especially during dark seasons. When we bring our unbelief to God and ask for His help, it’s amazing what He will do! Don’t miss this one, Sis! It’s good!
