072. Minisode: Becoming Wise, Part 1

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I’m so excited that you’re joining me in 2023. I love that you’re committed to becoming the best version of yourself. I will continue reading devotions from my book in 2023. And in January, I will be reading from part 5–Gaining Wisdom.  

Today’s devotion is about laying the foundation for gaining wisdom. The scripture reference is Proverbs 9:10 (NLT).

Truth be told, I almost skipped reading from part 5 of the book altogether. It’s the shortest part of the book. But as I was reading through some of the devotions, and I knew I could not deprive you of the goodness!

Sis, Godly wisdom is essential on this journey of life no matter what season you find yourself in. You should do all you can to gain Godly wisdom because it helps you make the best decisions for your life, but how do you gain wisdom?

As with everything, it’s a process, and today we’re going to talk about how to get started. God’s ways are contrary to the world’s ways. The world will make you believe the only way to gain wisdom is to go to school and learn from certain people, maybe even develop certain skills. However, to truly become wise, you have to get to know God.

This process may not sound like a lot of fun, but if you really begin to seek Godly wisdom, you will see a total shift in your life. Listen, to this devotion Sis! You’ll be glad you did!
